For those who are interested in growing rice without pesticides and securing rice.

Rice harvest: Saturday, October 8, 2022 (in case of rain, October 9 or 15)
Please see below for details.

We, Satoyama Club Minuma, will be harvesting rice on Saturday, October 8 (if it rains, it will be postponed to Sunday, October 9 or Saturday, October 15) in the rice fields we are cultivating in Midori-ku, Saitama City (the nearest station is a 12-minute walk from Higashi-Urawa on the JR Musashino Line).

On the day of the event, we will meet at the rice field at 8:30am.

After harvesting (depending on the weather), we will have a get-together outdoors.

This will be our 8th year, and we have never used pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Even so, the rice has grown very well. We at Satoyama Club Minuma cultivate not only rice (a little less than 2,000 square meters of rice fields) but also vegetables (1,800 square meters in two fields, old and new, and 1,200 square meters in an orchard).
